Eco Factor: Photosensitive dyes could be sprayed onto steel for energy generation. Tata Steel-led Corus and Swansea University (Wales, UK) have collaborated to bring about solar conversion of steel sheets with a pioneering spray-on technology. As the developers plan to coat steel sheets with photosensitive dyes, they would act as power generating solar cells.
